Cleveland, OH. – November 15, 2019 –It is with great sadness that we announce that Howard Ron Ober, the founder of Wakefield Equipment, passed away earlier this week. The entire Wakefield Equipment family mourns this loss.
Ron was responsible for revolutionizing the window and door assembly process by introducing new equipment, like TigerStop to window and door manufacturers. A life-long entrepreneur and business man, it was his passion for superior customer service that helped set each of his businesses apart.
“Ron was a force who came along at the right time for the window and door industry. He was an example to us all and I strive to continue his vision of best-in-class customer service that he began at Wakefield Equipment,” said Owen Cleary, current co-owner of Wakefield Equipment.
“The entire Wakefield Equipment team shares Ron’s customer service philosophies and we are grateful for the opportunity to continue his vision. The window and door industry lost a great man,” said Kellen Wise, co-owner of Wakefield Equipment.
